Although our staff has trained professionals, volunteers are some of the most important contributors to our program. They are amazing people that give up their free time to help others.
At all levels of our organization volunteers are indispensable. To be a volunteer in our organization you do not need to have had experience with horses. Some of our volunteers have horse experience, while others have unique skills that can benefit Butterfly Dreams Farm. We will gladly incorporate the skills, ideas, or areas of expertise you may have. Fresh ideas keep our program strong. Volunteers who could offer us a strong back and willing heart are always in great demand, as well.
Please note as well that we have many students in the area who would like to do their internships or student work programs with us. We are always very happy to have try our best to accommodate students who want to complete their hours with us, however with so many students wanting these volunteer spots, we cannot guarantee that you will receive all of your required hours within the required amount of time. Please email Amanda if you have questions about doing your internship with us or a student work program. **Currently, as of Fall 2011, our volunteer spots are full at this time. We will hold another volunteer training in the early part of 2012**
