Meet our Horses
Step into our stables, where we handpick only the best of the best! Our horses come from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring a well rounded program to fit any riders needs.
Aleyah
Aleyah is a sweet 15-year-old black and white Gypsy Vanner cross mare who is an excellent therapy and lesson horse. Aleyah is affectionately nicknamed “The Flying Potato” due to her wide stature in combination with her ability to jump. Aleyah is 15.1 hands and very comfortable and smooth to ride. She really is a horse that “picks her people” and appreciates people who will take the time to get to know her.
Dondi
Dondi, a Dutch Warmblood, brings a wealth of experience to our team from her previous career in high-level dressage. She's cherished for her gentle nature and in her downtime, she enjoys relaxing with a good nap. Dondi has a pear-shaped physique complemented by a smooth gait, providing riders with a stable foundation to feel securely grounded. Between her temperament and gait, she accommodates riders of all ages and ability levels.
Sheik
Sheik is a grey Arabian gelding in his late 20’s who stands at 14.3 hands tall. Sheik is a kind, quiet soul who is wonderful to have around. Despite his more advanced age, Sheik is very limber and will still gallop around with the younger horses on the (very) rare occasions when the mood strikes him! Sheik is a go-to for hippotherapy as he is very reliable and easy to handle while having high-impact, athletic movement.
Sven
Sven is a Percheron gelding with as big of a personality as he is tall! Sven stands over 17 hands tall and his movement has been compared to that of a couch. While his height may be intimidating, his calm demeanor in the arena will soothe any rider. We rescued Sven in Spring of 2022, and he was about 600 pounds lighter! Sven loves all the attention and will definitely attempt to make you laugh.
Senor Carrots
Senor Carrots is a 12-hand donkey gelding who we rescued Spring of 2023. He was very shy at first, but he is incredibly friendly after some TLC! He is proud to say he does not get ridden and is pretty much only good for cuddles and carrots. His comical bray will be sure to get your attention on the farm!
Peanut Butter
Peanut Butter or “Peanut” is the most adorable pony you’ll ever see! He is an 11.1 hand American Pinto pony. He is 17 years old, but he is commonly mistaken for a baby due to his small size! He is a wonderful pony who is loved by some of the smallest riders at the farm. Peanut’s favorite treats are grapes and Reese’s Pieces, but unfortunately these don’t make very healthy horse treats, so he settles for carrots and low-carb horse cookies instead.
